Thank you for choosing to be a part of the Rhyne Park Girls Softball Organization. Please read our Parent and Player Code of Conduct below. If you have any questions, please reach out to [email protected].
PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT
- No profane language, taunting, fighting or unruly conduct will be tolerated.
- Be coachable. Listen to your coaching staff's instructions. Ask questions if you are not sure. Be willing to try new positions and new techniques. Be ready and willing to do whatever your team needs you to do.
- Be on time. We understand this is more of a parent responsibility for most of our athletes, but tardiness hurts the overall team's ability to improve. Please plan travel accordingly.
- Be a good teammate. Always support your teammates on and off the field.
- Any player ejected from a game for unsportsmanlike conduct (any aggression towards umpires, tournament officials, the opposing team, fans, or spectators) will be suspended. Reinstatement would be subject to board approval.
PARENT CODE OF CONDUCT
Parents play a huge role in the development of a successful softball player. Your role is as important as the coaches and every bit as challenging. That is why we welcome your presence at every practice and every game. We try very hard to be a family-oriented organization, and your participation is a significant part of our success.
- This is a recreational program. This is designed to teach the game of softball through good sportsmanship, teamwork, friendship, and fun.
- Our volunteer coaches are in charge of your team for practices and games.
- As a parent, you are a spectator. Please respect your coaching staff at all times.
- Do not enter the practice or game field without being directly asked by your head coach. There are many parents who are not coaches, but are eager to help. That is great and we appreciate the desire to help. That said, your coaches will decide what level of help they’d like, if any.
- Do not disrespect your coaches over their practice or game plans.
- During games, good sportsmanship is a requirement for all parents and spectators. Do not poorly represent our park by yelling at umpires, coaches, athletes, or other spectators. Failure to do so will result in removal from the premises. Depending on severity, the Board of Directors also reserves the right to remove your athlete from the program entirely.
- Parents are expected to comply with all park rules, including the use of alcohol while at the park. Cobb County Parks prohibit or restrict the use of alcohol.
